This 44-acre park offers a quiet, country atmosphere with a covered bridge, train station replica, caboose, and two barns. Hilliard Historical Village

Northwest Village at Weaver Park
4100 Columbia * Hilliard, Ohio 43026

The entrance is between the Sunoco Station and Safety buildings behind the Franklin county fairgrounds - off of Avery/Main St./Hilliard-Rome Rd.

The History

This is within 5 minutes of Homestead Park, so I often do train photos here, then travel over to Homestead to get the blue car, as well.

This is also right in downtown Hilliard, which has railroad tracks, a veterans memorial, rails to trails, and some great old buildings.

The Gardens at Gantz Farm

2255 Home Road * Grove City, OH 43123

Park Website

The Gardens at Gantz is located at 2255 Home Road in Gantz Park. Situated alongside the historic Gantz farmhouse, the gardens provide a unique look at horticulture throughout time. Park staff and volunteers have developed three main gardens to demonstrate a wide range of gardening styles: The Garden of Yesterday, The Garden of Today and the Garden of Tomorrow. In addition to the herb gardens, the Gardens at Gantz staff members organize educational workshops, an annual herb sale and gardening-related activities.

The children's gardening group, Sprouts, also meets here.
